Criminal Records which are available by County (Borough) or by State.  All counties are available in all states.   Only certain states offer statewide searches.  State repositories contain records sent there by each county.  Because all counties are not up to date in reporting it is recommended that a countywide search be performed.  You should perform a criminal records check in at least the county of residence and ideally in the county of last employment as well if it is different from residence.
